Above Average Progress B 80-89%
Average Progress     C 70-79%
Lowest Acceptable Progress D 60-69%
Failure  F  0-59%

Parents and students, please be reminded that homework plays a very important part in our curriculum.  Homework is the great equalizer since it can be completed at the student’s own pace. It is not punishment nor is it to be done by the parent. It has a great impact on the student’s grade.  Homework can also be the first indicator that a young person needs assistance with his/her study habits.  It is every parent’s responsibility to set aside a specific time and place for your son/daughter to complete his /her homework assignments.   Students need a distraction-free place to study, and should not have television, video games, computers, or music on while studying.

Parents of 6th graders will be notified of their child’s progress on a biweekly basis.  Parents of 7th and 8th grade students will be notified of their child’s progress on a monthly basis.  The Red Communication Folders are vital to the communication process.  It is imperative that every parent checks the folders on a weekly basis.  In general, the Red Communication Folders go out every Friday and must be returned the following Monday or subsequent school day.

Lost and Found

Students who find lost articles are asked to take them to the office where the proper owner may claim them.  Textbooks will be returned to the teacher.
