Responsibilities continued
Textbooks
Students are responsible for
the books assigned to them by their teacher.
All books are the property of Miami Shores/Barry University Charter
School and are loaned to the students. They
should be returned in an acceptable condition.
Students will be charged for lost or damaged books. The average cost
of a book is between $50 and $75. The following is a guide to the fees that
will be charged.
Full replacement cost will be
charged when the book:
Has been defaced with profane language or language that
promotes immorality.
Has been lost.
Has been damaged beyond future use.
Fifty per-cent (50%) of
replacement cost will be charged when the book:
Has a missing or defaced cover
Has a ripped or broken binding.
Has pages that are torn or wet, but are still usable.
Has been defaced with writing and/or drawing.
No student transfers will be
effective until all fees and book replacement fees have been paid.
